Day 1: Tour of Firenze. A walk through the Baptistry in front of the Cathedral-- admiring its beautiful ceiling full of painted Bible stories. An afternoon in the Uffizi Museum, catching the sunset over Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge).
Day 2: Another hike to the top of el Duomo with a breathtaking glimpse of the city from above. San Lorenzo piazza, basilica of San Lorenzo, Laurentian library, and the Academia Museum to see David followed.
Day 3: Oral reports in the morning and a free period in the afternoon. A group of science majors and I nerded off to the Galileo Museum. We watched the sunset from a monastery on a hill that night-- seeing the Cathedral from that perspective was incredible.
Day 4: Santa Croce and Palazzo Vecchio comprised our morning and the art class finished the day at the Ferragamo Museum. That night was the Arrivederci Dinner-- I couldn't believe 10 days had come and gone so quickly! Despite the Trevi Fountain restoration, I threw in a coin, and even rubbed the Boar's nose for luck to return in the future.
